Pharmacovigilance Unit

  • Pharmacovigilance Unit was established in Pharmacology department of SGRRIM&HS in December 2009.
  • Since then it is involved in ADR collection, evaluation and giving the feedback to concerned physicians.
  • ADR sensitization programmes.
  • Conducted many prescription auditing studies. These studies are presented in National & International conferences, 8 of these studies are published in International Journals and 1 in National Journal (Eye, Medicine, Skin, Psychiatry, Clinical Pharmacology training for M.B.B.S. students and Retrograde analysis of ADRs from different clinical departments).
  • Pharmacovigilance unit has already send some more proposal to Research Committee for prescription auditing studies in other departments.
  • Pharmacovigilance training has been incorporated in M.B.B.S. curriculum since 2010.
  • Pharmacovigilance training has been included in Pharmacology M.D. curriculum since 2011.
  • Recently Pharmacovigilance training has been proposed to be included for M.D./M.S. students of all the departments and for interns training programme.
  • Our Pharmacovigilance Center of SGRRIM&HS has become a recognised ADR reporting and monitoring center (AMC) since June 2014.
  • We are regularly sending ADR reports to NCC (National Coordinating Center) Ghaziabad U.P. through Vigiflow software.
  • Pharmacovigilance Committee meeting is held regularly at an interval of every 3 months.
  • The ADR Monitoring Centre (AMC) is headed by the Coordinator and Incharge Dr. S.B .Dutta.
