Introduction
Biochemistry is study of chemical process within & relating to living organisms. Biochemistry focuses on understanding the chemical basis which allow biological molecules to give rise to the processes that occur within living cells & between cells in turn relating greatly to the understanding of tissues & organs as well as organization structures & function. Biochemistry deals with structures bonding, functions & interactions of biological macromolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates & lipids which is taught to all MBBS students.
Biochemistry is a bridge between paraclinical to clinical subjects as it helps evaluating various diseases through labs test done in our Central Biochemistry Laboratory.

The Department has NABL accredited state of art Central Biochemistry Laboratory with latest technology of Dry chemistry catering to 1500 bedded Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, with approximately 800-900 samples/day. The department has the following scope of services:
