- Ragging of any kind within and outside the campus is totally banned.
- The College Administration has taken all the steps to make the college campus ragging free.
- All the students are advised to desist from indulging into any such action which can be viewed as ragging.
- What Constitutes Ragging (vide clause 3 of UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging dated 17th June,2009)
- Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
- Indulging in rowdy or indisciplined activities by student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student.
- Asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student.
- Any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of any other student or a fresher.
- Exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students.
- Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student by students.
- Any act of physical abuse including all variants of it: sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person.
- Any act or abuse by spoken words, emails, post, public insults which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from actively or passively participating in the discomfiture to fresher or any other student.
- Any act that affects the mental health and self-confidence of a fresher or any other student.
- Action to be taken by the Head of the Institution: (vide clause 7 of UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging dated 17th June,2009). On receipt of the recommendation of the Anti-Ragging Squad or on receipt of any information concerning any reported incident of ragging, the Head of institution shall immediately determine if a case under the penal laws is made out and if so, either on his own or through a member of the Anti - Ragging Committee authorized by him in this behalf, proceed to file a First Information Report (FIR), within twenty four hours of receipt of such information or recommendation, with the police and local authorities, under the appropriate penal provisions relating to one or more of the following, namely:
- Abetment to ragging
- Criminal conspiracy to rag
- Unlawful assembly and rioting while ragging
- Public nuisance created during ragging
- Violation of decency and morals through ragging
- Injury to body, causing hurt or grievous hurt
- Wrongful restraint
- Wrongful confinement
- Use of criminal force
- Assault as well as sexual offences or unnatural offences
- Extortion
- Criminal trespass
- Offences against property
- Criminal intimidation
- Attempts to commit any or all of the above mentioned offences against the victim(s)
- Threat to commit any or all of the above mentioned offences against the victim(s)
- Physical or psychological humiliation
- All other offences following from the definition of “Ragging”
Provided that the Head of the institution shall forthwith report the occurrence of the incident of ragging to the District Level Anti-Ragging Committee and the Nodal Officer of the affiliating University,
Provided further that the institution shall also continue with its own enquiry initiated under clause 9 of these Regulations and other measures without waiting for action on the part of the police/local authorities and such remedial action shall be initiated and completed immediately and in no case later than a period of seven days of the reported occurrence of the incidence of ragging.
- Those found guilty of ragging may be awarded one or more of the following punishment, namely: (wide clause 9 of UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging dated 17th June,2009).
- Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
- Withholding/withdrawing scholarship/fellowship and other benefits.
- Debarring from appearing in any test/examination or other evaluation process.
- Withholding results.
- Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.
- Suspension/expulsion from the hostel.
- Cancellation of admission.
- Rustication from the institution for period ranging from one to four semesters.
- Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution for a specified period.
- Fine of Rs. 25,000/-
Provided that where the persons committing or abetting the act of ragging are not identified, the institution shall resort to collective punishment.

The fresher’s are instructed to move in groups within the campus, should not respond to the call of seniors, should not participate in any kind of fresher’s party anywhere inside/outside the campus arranged by the senior students, desist from doing anything against their will even if ordered by the seniors.
ANTI-RAGGING MEASURES
- Format of Undertaking by students and parents to be prepared in English and Hindi as well.
- From next session such ‘Undertaking’ be attached in the brochure.
- The directions of Apex Court and Govt. about ‘Ragging Free Campus’ be detailed in the brochure and at the time of admission, it should be provided to the candidate and parents.
- Counselling of freshers (by Professional Counselor).
- "Joint Sensitization Programme" and counseling of both 'Freshers' and 'Seniors' to be addressed by Principals Wardens.
- To inform and keep abreast all the members of Anti-Ragging Committee about the above.
- Constitute a Monitoring Cell
- Formation of Mentoring Cell.
- Measures for prevention of ragging at institutional level :-
- Every public declaration of intent by institution for the admission of students shall expressly provide that ragging is totally prohibited in the institution.
- Brochure of admission from the next session shall contain:-
- Affidavit in English & Hindi to be signed by students.
- Affidavit in English & Hindi by Parents.
- Certificate from the school last attended.
- Anti ragging helpline - Names with phone numbers
- Assign faculty members to a group of fresher’s listen their problems. Such faculty members will maintain record and will co-ordinate with the wardens.
- Even the non-teaching staff, Mess I/c, Security Supervisors, House Keeping I/c, Manager of Annapurna Café be informed about the implementation of Anti-Ragging measures and to report of any such incidence of ragging to the concerned person.
- Depute Officer Incharge of Anti-Ragging Cell, who will assist the Principal in sending weekly reports to V.C. on the status of compliance of Anti-Ragging measures.
- Discreet random surveys amongst fresher’s to be conducted every fortnight.
