Department of Community Medicine is actively involved in teaching and training of undergraduate (MBBS), Postgraduate (MD) students and Interns. The PG curriculum started in the year 2011. The faculty and students are engaged in various research project – STS/ICMR etc. Three field practice areas one at Mothrowala (Rural health; training centre) serving popualtion of.15724..and the other at Khurbura (Urban Health training centre) with a population of.15190 and at Bhauwala are running under the department.
In collaboration with Uttarakhand government and World Bank and with the vision to provide community health services in hard to reach hilly areas of Pauri our PG students are actively involved in providing health care to the masses. The department is involved in observance of Public health days of importance, training of health workers, staff and interns, routine immunization at centres and vaccination of Covid 19 in college. Field activities in the form of family study of UG and PG students, School health, health talks , role plays and sensitization programmes are being carried out on a regular basis.
The department has several collaborations for community based activities with Government / NGOs / reputed international bodies (ICMR, WHO, USAID, WORLD BANK).

- X-rats and Ultrasound billing done at 30% reduced cost and 10% reduction in case of CT/MRI.

- Faculty is also involved in teaching activities of Paramedical Students.
- Faculty was actively involved in Covid – 19 training to Faculty, Nursing and Paramedical Staff and Interns.
