Introduction

Department of Orthopaedics in SGRRIM&HS is one of the integral parts of the core of this hospital. It is run by esteemed faculty and dedicated resident doctors. Situated in the North block of the building with a dedicated floor to the whole department with a very advanced operation theatre equipped with the best modern technology.
Department headed by Dr. Puneet Gupta is committed to patient care and well being. Department is sub-divided into three units headed by esteemed faculty with highly efficient work force comprising of both experienced and young faculty members along with the budding orthopaedic residents.
Speciality clinics are being run on separate days comprising of CTEV, Spine, Arthroplasty, Hand and Arthroscopy. Over 2000 surgeries are being performed each year with daily OPD mostly exceeding 150 patients.
Emergency services provided by department in casualty are prompt and excellent. We offer both emergency and elective surgeries ranging from basic trauma to complex pelvi-acetabular operations, arthroscopy, arthroplasty, pediatric growth modulation, spine management and various recent innovations.
There are seven post-graduate students persuading their Master of Surgery Degree every year. We are dedicatedly running post-graduate teaching program comprising of group discussions, seminars, case presentations, various demonstration and skill based exercises. We aim to achieve excellence not only in patient care and recovery but also in research and education.
